DotNet Spain Conference 2015: Innovation, Community & Learning

Last weekend, the .NET community gathered for arguably Spain’s most significant .NET event to date: DotNet Spain Conference 2015, held at the Universidad de Alcalá. Organized by Microsoft Spain and the Developer Experience team, this two-day conference delivered rich content, energetic engagement, and a forward-looking vision for .NET development.

It took place at the University of Alcalá, with a record number of attendees (more than 1200!). Not surprising, considering the number of talks and hands-on labs that were held across several parallel tracks. Honestly, it was a success on every level, and I can only say that it will be hard to top it in future editions. The bar has been set very high! :D

As for me, I was very lucky to present—and have approved—a joint talk with my colleague Alex Casquete on best practices with async, something that isn’t exactly mainstream but that, interestingly, was very well received. In fact, it went even better than I thought it would at first, so thank you all very much for all the positive feedback!

About to start the session

Given the success, we might even consider repeating it at the next DotNet Conference :D
